Charitable Options are a Canadian capital market charitable giving tool incubated in the dot-com era of late 1990s. In 2000 they were adopted by the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and I was part of the team that invented them. To the best of my knowledge, there is no equivalent securities mechanism in other countries.  It’s a Canadian charitable innovation story that needs to be told.
